Information Notice under art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 679/2016 (GDPR)

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small units of text strings that sites visited by the user send to the user’s terminal; they are then stored on the device and transmitted to the site again the next time the user visits it. For the purposes of interest herein, cookies are divided into technical and profiling cookies, depending on the function for which they are used, and in first-party and third-party cookies, depending on the subject who installs them.

2. Technical cookies
These are cookies used to allow browsing functions or to provide a service requested by the user. They are not used for any other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner.

Without the use of such cookies, certain operations will not be available or would be exceedingly more complex and/or less secure.

Technical cookies are divided into navigation or session cookies that guarantee regular browsing and use of the website; analytic cookies (similar to technical cookies used directly by the website manager to collect information in an aggregate manner regarding the number of users and how they visit the site) and functional cookies (that allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected options, such as the language so as to improve the service provided to the same). 

The consent of data subjects is not required to install and use technical cookies. The legal basis of the processing is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller.

3. Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are used to send advertising message in line with the preferences shown by the user during browsing sessions online. The consent of data subjects is required for the use of these cookies.

4. Third-party cookies
To distinguish between first-party cookies and third-party cookies one must take into account the party who actually installs cookies on user terminals, depending on whether it is the manager of the site the user is visiting, or a different site that installs cookies through the former party.

7. Rights of Data Subjects
We inform you of the existence of certain rights (hereafter, “Rights”) envisaged by the GDPR with regard to personal data and the relative actions you are entitled to request from the Data Controller: right to withdraw consent (for processing for which consent is required) without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on consent prior to revocation (art. 13, paragraph 2, point c), right of access to data (art. 15), right of rectification (art. 16), right to erasure (right to be forgotten) (art. 17), right to limitation of processing (art. 18), right to data portability (art. 20), right to object (art. 21), right to lodge claims with the Supervisory Authority (art. 77).

The exercising of Rights is subject to the limits, regulations and procedures provided for in the GDPR and which the Data Subject must acknowledge and put into practice. In accordance with the provisions of Article 12, paragraph 3, the Data Controller shall also provide information to the Data Subject on any action taken without undue delay and, in any case, at the latest within one month of receipt of the request. That period may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of the requests. The Controller shall inform the data subject of any such extension within one month of receipt of the request, together with the reasons for the delay.
